I love these wines Alice....The Les Clous is one of my favourites and I think I've destroyed my stash of 2005's already. Amazing wines aromatically....very sexy stuff....and any wine called the nails gets my vote.

Not everyones cup of tea though....had a few Prieure-roch wines at a dinner recently and they split the room....quite polarising.

I love your description of the winery but it is disappointing to hear that barrel tasting is not allowed any longer.

The wines do sound "gorgeous."

And how were those 2005s tasting?

I'm hunting the Leon Trotskys, the Philip Roths, the Chaucers and the Edith Whartons of the wine world. I want them natural and most of all, I want them to speak the truth even if we argue. With this messiah thing going on, I'm trying to swell the ranks of those who crave the differences in each vintage, celebrate nuance and desire wines that make them think, laugh, and feel. Welcome.
