First, one really nice one from Imbibe Magazine!

I get such lovely letters of support, I thought I'd share some of my favorites. I know there's more in here---but I have to find them!

Dear Mrs Feiring,

I finished reading your book this morning and can't resist writing you a short message to tell you how must I loved it.
One reason for this certainly that I recognized some of the winemakers you name - another reason being your highly enjoyable storytelling and the way you talk about the wines.
How often have I read descriptions by wine critics where I just did not understand what they were after? Their words would just never connect to the smells, tastes and emotions that I experienced when tasting. This is of course partly due to my lack of wine tasting experience; nevertheless, your descriptions resonate with my own discoveries of wines from Loire, Bourgogne, Jura, Spain, Italy, etc.
After the first chapters, I seriously considered sending you a bottle to thank you for writing this book, but your descriptions of the bottles waiting on your doorstep after each of your journeys, make me fear that you might never receive it.
However (I know this is weird), should you during your numerous journeys, ever happen to come close to Geneva (Switzerland), I would be honored and happy to open any of my cellar's bottles for you.
I also had a brief look at you website - please don't do as Mr. Roth - don't stop writing!
Kind regards,
 (A reader from Geneva)

Really well done (again!) - the best true read out there – actually feels like a real journal, without any organized pattern, which is what makes it cozy and authentic. --Jon Rimmerman (The Garagiste)

Fantasic, Alice.  Congratulations.  I am late to the vinyard, as you know, and late to this type of news letter; but, wow, yours is so - straight forward, so well done, so , sorry if my age is showing, COOL.  Love it and will savor it further later today.  "Sex and wine parties ........" is where I left off.

Warmest wishes and Big Kudos!

It’s clever, nicely designed, and appeals to people’s quickly developing tastes for these kind of wines. Really congratulations. Here’s to 1000 readers!

There is something special about your newsletter. There is a process that needs to be appreciated. Your quirky process is sort of like the wines you love to write about, and why we eventually become disciples of sorts.

Just skimmed over the first issue. Love it. I feel like the Bee Girl in Blind Melon's "No Rain" video: I have finally found my people!

Alice,

It's so lovely!

If I can think of a way to mention it that doesn't seem totally off-the-path, I will. Congrats on it, it's beautiful.
