I was either lost or stuck in traffic.
All of the calm of Burgundy zapped with nights filled with mosquitos,
dazzling electric storms, VinExpo bouchons, over-ripe new-world-styled Bordeaux...an unsulfured Bordeaux that was really lovely, (Chateau Le Puy) fabulous day in Canon Fronsac at Château Moulin-Pey-Labrie, interesting night at Mouton-Rothschild...and still... the wine of the two weeks was that Prunier mentioned in two posts down.
Details upon arrival home.
All right. I'm home and have been. Had other pressing needs to deal with, which included a weekend of dancing in a tick infested, gorgeous pine forest at the mouth of Cape Cod and work on that outer borough Burgundy piece that had me in Maranges, Marsannay, Givry and Auxey.
By the way, I recently put these posts in order, so there is now a Maranges post ---go ahead---scroll down, it's there, sandwiched below.
But more trip highlights and impressions of VinExpo are in the hopper, so check back.
