I'm hunting the Leon Trotskys, the Philip Roths, the Chaucers and the Edith Whartons of the wine world. I want them natural and most of all, I want them to speak the truth even if we argue. With this messiah thing going on, I'm trying to swell the ranks of those who crave the differences in each vintage, celebrate nuance and desire wines that make them think, laugh, and feel. Welcome.

You are not the only one! I head out to the California wine country every few years looking for a new small batch wine from a small producer. I usually settle myself in vacation rentals in Sonoma County (http://www.itrip.net/sonoma-county-vacation-rentals/ca, if you are interested), and use that as my home base to explore. And man have I not been disappointed at all either! There is so much to find there, and so much to take in when you go there! I would recommend this over and over!
